I'm loving your Dune art! This one in particular, beautiful! I have never read the books, should probably do that, just have fone memories of the film. Cool stuff Edward!
Rhonda- Glad you like them. Scifi did another version of Dune a few years back...that was okay. But I still dig the movie. The costume designs were awesome! Oh... the first Dune book is great, other ones less so.
Laurghita- good point about the sandworm... but these ones are in the deep deep desert which are much bigger then regular ones. ;)
Good point, now you know what still bother me ?... The are to common color wise, the have a strong relation with the "spice" and that relation must somehow be obvious in the texture... even the whales have build up reef corals on, those are like sand whales...

You must keep in mind the fact fremens can catch and ride those with just one man, dont make them to big like in this last picture...
