Steven Frank (5finity) is doing a sketch card auction to rise money for March of Dimes. This is his fourth year doing the "Superhero for Babies" drive. I worked on 10 cards and they are all up on ebay for bidding.

The Walking Dead

Deputy Rick Grimes blasting away at the zombies. This is the TV version of The Walking Dead (on AMC) so I tried to get a little of Andrew Lincoln likeness for Rick. Second season start October 16th!

Bellevue Art Fair

I went to Bellevue Art Fair yesterday. Lots of interesting things to look at. A big section of the Bellevue Mall garage was set up with the booths as well as a street was shut down only a block away.

Big cork board: 0

"It should be a easy fit.", as I said to myself carry a large size cork board to my car. I opened the back door and quickly realized how 2 inches could make a big difference. Long story short... I dropped the front seats all the way back, slide the board in to the backseats, then upright the driver seat. Done!

You might be thinking what a odd thing to post on a art blog. If you ever get a huge cork board from the art store and you only have a small sedan to carry it back with... then this post will come in handy. ;)

I always wanted to buy it mostly because of the package illustration... But the reality that it's just some sort of a brine shrimps is a little disappointing.

Ghost Hunter 1page comic

I did this in 2009 and submitted it to Taps Paramagazine. The editor liked it but they were committed to printing other comic strip. I was told they still might use it later but that didn't happen.

Now that it's couple of years later and Kris William is not investigating with Jason and Grant... this fan comic is a little out of date so there's zero hope they would use this.

The Silence

Second season of Doctor Who premiere last night. The Silence are the new bad guys in black suit and tie. The interesting thing about them is the second you look away from them, you'll forget them. Because of this ability, they're able to remain hidden from humans for who knows how long.

Pretty interesting first episode so far. These bad guys are just a small part of other surprises that went down.

Sakura Con 2011

Today, I went to Sakura Con in Seattle, Washington Convention and Trade Center. A big event for all things manga and anime. Got there at 10:15 AM to wait in line to get register and didn't get the badge to get in till 12:30. That will teach me to pre-register for the show next year!

The show was very crowded and I score some Copic makers. There were lots of people cosplay for the event. Check out the photo parade below. It's a fun show if this is your thing.
