I got one artwork in a comic themed art show called, "Sidekicks & Henchmen 2" at Flatcolor Gallery. Show starts on Thursday (reception 5-9 PM) and run through March 27th. Come by and check it out if you get a chance. Click HERE for more info.
Hi there! I want to invite everyone to come to the Atomic Lead 4 release and signing party at All City Coffee in Georgetown this Sat. from 5 to 8 PM. There's going to be live music, artists sketching, artwork on display, and.... the premiere of Atomic Lead 4. This year, the theme is "Monsters!" so come on down if you're in the area. You can go to the Atomic Lead Blog for more info about this project.
There is a gallery show at Flatcolor gallery for Dave MacDowell and Augie Pagan on March 4th. Check it out!! While you are there, also check out the mini-group exhibition called, "Sidekicks and Henchmen"... which I'm in! :)
My Spectreman art will be on display for Seattle Art Walk first Thursday in March and there'll be special reception for Emerald City ComiCon on March 13, 6-10 PM.
The Thought Processor Seattle show opened last night at Urban Light Studios. I never been to Green wood so it was a little tricky going thru Friday traffic in pouring rain to find the gallery. It's a nice space. There are about 4 separate gallery space down in the basement. The Tho Pro show was in one of those rooms.
You can see they hang the papertoys in a group then the accompany artwork off to the side. Listening to some of the people that walked in, they were a little confuse with the set up. It might've been nicer to put the papertoy directly next to the painting.
Here's my "Madame Zora" artwork that went with my papertoy. I got a chance to talk with 179 about her artwork which display above mine. She was really nice and I dig the graphic vector artwork on her toy. I also talked with Beau the coordinator for the show and his wife NinjaGrl which her artwork was also in the show. Unfortunately, I didn't have picture of her work to post here.
Here's an awesome painting by Jamie Burton. Thanks for Jamie and his wife for showing me the stuff lion in the studio. ;)
A painting by Augie Pagan. Curse you Augie... why do you crash every single show in Seattle with your kickass painting?!!
Here's a close up look of my papertoy. I had a good time designing it. I built the thing 4 times and stress out working on the traditional artwork. But overall, a good experience and an honor to be in the same show with the other artists. You can still check out the show all the way through March 4th. You can see more photos and get info about the other artists... HERE.
Toysrevil is a blog I check for urban toy news. I was really surprise to see my art on there. They did a write up on the Tho Pro show in Seattle which is sooooo much better then mine. Click on the above pic to read the story plus links to see photos of the papertoys and more.
I was contacted to do a design for a papertoy and a 2D artwork to go along with it. Well, that's one of the reason why I haven't posted anything lately. Guess what... I'm all done! So if you want to check it out plus see how other artists design their papertoy (using the same template).... click on the above flyer for all the info! All the paper toys and artwork will be on sale at the show.
There's a rawking art show going on this Sat, called "Muppet Rawk"! If you're in the area, you've got to check it out. Lots of local talents take classic rock albums and put Muppet characters in them. It's pretty awesome and might become an annual show in Seattle.
I'll be Emerald City ComiCon on May 10th and 11th at table F-12. I'll should have a couple of new prints, pins, and Atomic Lead #3 to sale. If you like toys, comics, and catching some media celebs.... this is the place to be this weekend! This will be the first time ECCC is running at dowtown Seattle, Washingtion State Convention Center. It's a pretty big place and a great location. There should be an increase of foot traffic and hoping to see more people dress up for the show!
Also from 6 PM to 9PM, on May 10th.... I'll be at All City Coffee in Georgetown (South of Seattle) for the gallery party to promote Atomic Lead #3. Some of the original art is on display and you can pick up a copy of AL3 which is done by 11 artists, 74 pages, perfect bound, and color cover. Live music too by Andrew Woods. Go HERE for more info. Oh... that night is also Georgetown Art Attack so lots more to see if you stop by.

There's a neat gallery show at the BLVD Gallery starting Dec 14th from 6 to 10pm. A lot of my art pals are in it. Each artists worked on a "GOOD" picture and a "EVIL" picture. If you are in the area, please stop by and check it out!
