I like bacon. I also like fast food. It seems to make sense to combine them to create even better food.... but that's not the case my friend. Go to This is why you're fat and you'll see that somethings should never go together.
I found out today, that someone used my fan art of Rorschach (made it a pin) and selling it on Ebay. So I emailed this person and hopefully he'll take that auction down. Funny thing is, this person is also selling other pins from other IPs (Intellectual Properties). The seller calms that it's a "fan tribute only".... but the thing that makes it not just a "fan tribute" IMHO is charging for the buttons. Hey...I'm not a lawyer so I could be totally wrong.
Here's a paper toy for the holidays!
Create your own toy at Paper Critters. If you do, leave a note in the comment section... I would like to see. :)
Today, I went to Zanadu Comics in downtown Seattle. After a while, I heard some one talking at the counter and it sounded familiar. I looked over and saw Robin Williams with a lady friend. He was shorter than I thought he would be and he got some fancy shades on. I didn't stare that long (only a few seconds) then I pretend to look at something else and got a couple more peeks at him. The store was empty, he started looking around the new comic racks and I left at that point. It was a cool surprise...That was my first celeb sighting in a comic store!
There's this show on Discovery called, "Storm Chasers"... basically bunch of folks driving around and try to collect data on tornados. One guy on the show made a armor vehicle called, "TIV" which stands for Tornado Intercept Vehicle. His goal is to drive into a tornado and film it for a documentary. That's half the fun of watching, to see if he can do it.
I was checking my email and I saw this picture of Amy Winehouse in the celeb section of aol. It was so odd to say the least and thought it would make an interesting sketch. The angle is different from the photo and I took some liberty with the expression... otherwise, she did look like that! Poor Amy... I hope she pull it together some day.
AKA... Goldar (in the US), is a giant alien robot that can turn into a rocket ship. It's a manga and TV series in the 60's. Of course there's a boy that can call Golder to fight evil monsters like most of those old rubber suit monster shows. One cool thing about Goldar... his belly can open up and fire missles. :)
This is a animated short from France. There are some graphic violence stuff...but it's pretty dang cool. If you read French... check out the official site... La Main des Maitres.
While surfing the net, I ran into a photo of Yoko Ono and John Lennon holding a "War is over" sign. It’s probably taken shortly after the Vietnam War. I thought the photo was pretty cool and I quickly sketch it out. I'm not trying to make any political statement (well, war in general is bad...) ... the photo just inspired me to doodle this sketch and I thought it turned out okay.
One show I try to catch every week is Ghost Hunters on the Scifi... (on Halloween, there's a 7 hours live show...wee!) Jason Hawes (left) and Grant Wilson (right) is the founders of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) and they go to supposedly haunted place to gather evidence of paranormal activity. The things they usually catch are EVP (electronic voice phenomenon), orbs (always dust), and sometime shadow people. Once in a blue moon, they might have a picture of mist...perhaps form by a spirit. I put three of paranormal phenomenon in the picture above.... can you find them? One hint, the device Grant is holding is a EMF scanner. A bonus point if you know what that is. :)
*UPDATE... I sent the artwork to Grant Wilson and he used it as his avatar on his Myspace. How freakin' cool is that?! You can check for yourself on his Myspace page right now cuz I don't know how long he'll leave it there... or just click on the pic on the right, to enlarge the screen capture.
